BRIAN BAPTISTA

Brian Baptista is an artist based in the Sacramento region. From acrylic paintings to pen and ink tangles, Brian weaves elements of symmetry and chaos into 100% hand drawn intricate designs. No computers or software are used in the design process. In addition to being a visual artist, Brian has experience in film and video production, audio recording, and music composition.

In 2020, Brian began to study the Zentangle method and soon became a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT). As a CZT, Brian is authorized to teach the Zentangle Method, trained by the founders of Zentangle, Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts. He belongs to a community of CZT's whose mission is to spread the joy of Zentangle to those who are interested.

 

Zentangle® is a method of drawing which promotes creativity, mindfulness, and relaxation. It uses simple patterns to fill areas of space.  It is is non-representational and unplanned. The method is easy-to-learn and suitable for beginners. It can be used to reduce stress and anxiety. The process is self-soothing, simple, and encourages the practice of adapting to the unexpected.
